At Ord Valley Turf, we are committed to delivering fresh, high-quality turf efficiently and hassle-free. We have established strong alliances with trusted freight companies to ensure reliable and timely turf deliveries across key locations in Northern WA, including Derby, Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha, Newman, Carnarvon, Tom Price, and Meekatharra. Additional destinations may be available upon negotiation.
To maintain the freshness and quality of our turf in high temperatures, we transport orders in refrigerated tautliners from September to April, ensuring it arrives in peak condition. During cooler months, refrigeration is not required, making transportation even more efficient and cost-effective. Our goal is to provide every customer with turf that is ready to roll out immediately, maximising both its aesthetic appeal and usability.
We take pride in our commitment to customer satisfaction and work hard to ensure every order is delivered in excellent condition. If any unforeseen freight delays or challenges arise after the turf leaves our farm, we will work with our customers to find a solution. empire zoysia
Empire Zoysia is our most popular variety of turf due to its low maintenance nature and appealing dark green colour. It is one of the most tolerant turf varieties and as such, has become very popular in North-Western Australia. Empire has a slow growth rate and therefore does not require the same amount of mowing as other varieties. Slow growth also results in less aggressive lawn and weeds which keeps it neat and non-invasive to garden beds.
Despite Empire's slow growth rate, it is still quick to establish due to its deep and fibrous root system. Empire turf thrives in extreme heat which is perfect for North-Western Australia! Empire Zoysia is ideal for various areas from residential yards to golf courses, thanks to its luxurious soft leaf texture. It is also a great lawn choice for children and animals as it is hard-wearing.
